Diastolic myocardial function indexes in patients with obstructive sleep apnea
Abstract
To study diastolic myocardial function pulsed wave Doppler tissue (PWDT) echocardiography was recorded in 102 patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. The left ventricular diastolic dysfunction has been identified in patients with moderate and severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Changes in diastolic profile manifest as a decrease of the speed of early diastolic wave peak speed increases late diastolic wave peak and, as a consequence, reduction in the ratio of peak velocities increase time of isovolumic relaxation and time of delay of left ventricular early diastolic filling, as well as reducing Em / Am indicators, Em (mean septal and lateral) of the mitral valve less than 9 cm/s. The revealed changes increase with increasing severity of the disease. At the same time indicators of tissue left ventricular diastolic dysfunction in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome appear on the stage of the disease, when the global left ventricular diastolic function has virtually broken. Diastolic dysfunction of the mitral valve has been identified in patients with normal transmitral flow. Tissue Doppler echocardiography can be used for early diagnosis of the left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.
