The methodology of micro-level analysis of the surfaces of dental materials
Abstract
The article is devoted to the topical problems of research of materials for dentures and restorations. Methodology is proposed for complex estimation of the parameters affecting a number of indicators, such as erosional- and wear resistance, adhesive and cohesive strength, microhardness, and the carrying capacity of a dental material. The methodology provides a differential microanalysis of physical and mechanical properties of the outward layer. The base of the methods of investigation is the process occurring in liquid environments upon excitation of ultrasonic vibrations of high intensity. The paper has a brief description of the experimental equipment, the methods of conducting and analysis of the investigated parameters.
