FAMILY PLANNING AND CHALLENGES OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH MONGOLIAN PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC
Abstract
The article is devoted to studying the issue of family planning in the Mongolian People’s Republic, the problems which are associated with modern family, as well as the assessment of knowledge and planning concepts and reproductions in the citizens. In cross-sectional study of 200 people, 75% of respondents have knowledge about family planning, 45% - plan their family, 23% - plan the birth of children, 17% - control the period between births. Based on the low specific weight of indicators one can see that the respondents did not have sufficient knowledge about family planning. The majority (44%) of the respondents use the calendar methods and condoms, and a relatively small number of study participants (12%) use drugs and intrauterine devices. Among the respondents 50% were married at 20-25 years of age, 50% - at a later age, that is an actual problem.
