Obstructive apnea/hypopea syndrome of sleep: criteria of severity, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and methods of diagnosis

Abstract

Obstructive sleep apnea / hypopnea is a common disease with a known pathogenesis, etiology, risk factors. Until recently, to determine the extent of SOAS index of apnea / hypopnea was estimated, but the predictive value of the index of apnea / hypopnea index (AHI) for the assessment of the severity and risk stratification of SOAS of is low. Clinically, the severity of SOAS is not always correlated with AHI, since it is necessary to consider all the complications and conditions that occurred on the background of SOAS.
