Abstract

A review on the monograph by V.A. Byvaltsev, A.A. Kalinin, V.V. Shepelev«Unstable forms of degenerative diseases of the vertebral-motor segments of the lumbosacral section of spine» (Novosibirsk, 2017) is presented. The authors showed modern literary data on the status of the actual problem in vertebrology and the generally accepted methods of its neuro-orthopedic correction, as well as the results of the surgical treatment of patients, own clinical observations of unstable forms of degenerative diseases of the spine and motor segments of the lumbosacral section of spine. This work should be available for each spinal surgeon involved in the surgical treatment of patients with degenerative spine pathology, especially for young neurosurgeons and orthopedic traumatologists who are just beginning their careers.
