Early diagnosis of spondyloarthritis
Abstract
The diagnosis of spondyloarthritis (SpA) in the early stages is often difficult and delayed. Some of causes of delayed diagnosis are late appeal of patients to the doctor, bad knowledge of the disease by doctors of clinic, a variety of clinical picture at the onset of disease, difficulties in radiographic interpreting of sacroiliitis in the early stages of the disease. During last few decades the idea of understanding spondylitis has essentially changed, and new diagnostic criteria for spondyloarthritis, (ASAS, 2012) have been appeared, which are listed in this article. Our own two clinical observations of late diagnosis of spondyloarthritis are described.
