Abstract

The main methods of diagnosing patients with urethral stricture are presented in the article. An algorithm for their application has been determined. The characteristics of the main complaints are presented; anamnestic triggers, which allow to suspect the defeat of the urethra. Recommendations on the scheme of objective examination of patients are given. In determining the characteristics of the disease, indications for the type of surgical treatment are determined. Patients with urodynamically significant urethral strictures need surgical treatment. In insignificant disturbances of urodynamics, it is possible to perform dynamic observation or conservative therapy.
