Personalized approach to differential diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis and bilateral atypical localization pneumonia
Abstract
The article presents the current data on the epidemiology and differential diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis and pneumonia. There was presented a case of hospitalization of the 23-year-old woman with fever, lymphopenia, infiltration of the lung tissue, in whom pulmonary tuberculosis was diagnosed. Informative methods of diagnostics such as computed tomography should be used to put the differential diagnosis in patients with infiltration of the lung tissue and in the minimal effect of antibacterial therapy. It is very important in the case of a false-negative results of laboratory tests (diaskin test, polymerase chain reaction, sputum culture).
